Being Thankful day # 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30.

It is December, the month of "being thankful" is over, but let's be honest here, we have so much to be thankful year round. I was thinking about this the other day, why is it in America we feel we can only be thankful one month a year (if that, some only on Thanksgiving)? We live in a country where we have so much to be thankful for, but yet we take so much for granted. A bit sickening.

Any way, on Monday the 26th, I was thankful for the amount of food we have. We have A LOT of food, not necessarily in our house, but here in America. If I am in the mood for a burger I could drive to the closest burger joint and eat in less than 20-30 minutes, no thought, cooking, or process. We take the accessibility of our food for granted. I am so thankful for being able to have food in our pantry and 'fridge. Even when I say "we are so broke," we are actually rich in comparison.

On Tuesday the 27th, I was thankful for my car. We are going to have to get a bigger car soon and it is so expensive- gas, car payment, insurance, maintenance, you name it. Right now I am thankful for my car which is great in gas and no car payment!

On the 28th, I was grateful for the honestly within our church. Tuesday night we received the news that our senior pastor resigned. It was so hard, but so good to know that we could ask questions and be answered truthfully.

On day 29, I was thankful for our community. Seeing how many people showed up to the Tuesday night service was incredible, but seeing the response of the community was Godly.

Day 30 I was thankful for FRIDAY and dinner with Michael Murray, Brian and Erin Banks and Anthony. It was so great to enjoy their company and celebrate Erin's 30th birthday. I am so thankful for Michael being our friend too.
